We hold a lot of emotions in our lower bodies and hips. Maybe you have been in a yoga class where a student started crying while in pigeon pose or you felt some strange feelings coming up in Yogi Squat. This actually happens quite often.<\/p>\n

The hips are the biggest joint in the body and they play a vital part in supporting our posture. We need our hips to move, sit and stand. That’s why there can be a lot of tension in the muscles around the hips and pelvis. Because the hips are so stable, we store a lot of emotions in this area.<\/p>\n
